IP/09/262 Βρυξέλλες, 13 Φεβρουαρίου 2009Τα σχολεία στην Ευρώπη, φορέας δημιουργικότητας και καινοτομίας μέσω των σχεδίων ηλεκτρονικής συνεργασίας eTwinningΗ πρωτοβουλία της ΕΕ «eTwinning» αποσκοπεί να ενθαρρύνει τη συνεργασία των σχολείων μέσω του διαδικτύου. Αριθμώντας περίπου 50.000 εγγεγραμμένους χρήστες σε ολόκληρη την Ευρώπη, όλο και περισσότεροι εκπαιδευτικοί στην Ευρώπη αποδεικνύουν ότι βρίσκουν νέους τρόπους για ανάπτυξη και καινοτομία στον τομέα της διδασκαλίας και της μάθησης. Στη φετινή ετήσια διάσκεψη eTwinning που διοργανώνεται στην Πράγα μεταξύ 13 και 15 Φεβρουαρίου, η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή θα βραβεύσει δέκα κορυφαία σχολικά σχέδια eTwinning. Ως κύρια δράση στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής για τη δια βίου μάθηση, η πρωτοβουλία eTwinning παρέχει στα σχολεία της Ευρώπης ένα μέσο για επικοινωνία, ανταλλαγή ιδεών και υλοποίηση σχεδίων ηλεκτρονικής συνεργασίας. Μέσω μιας ηλεκτρονικής πλατφόρμας με τη χρήση διαδικτυακών εργαλείων 2.0 για τη διευκόλυνση της επικοινωνίας, η δράση eTwinning έχει αναχθεί σε μια πραγματική κοινότητα, βασιζόμενη στη συνεργασία, όπου οι εκπαιδευτικοί επιδεικνύουν δημιουργικούς τρόπους για την ενίσχυση του διδακτικού τους έργου στην τάξη.  Από την έναρξη του σχεδίου τον Ιανουάριο του 2005, εκπαιδευτικοί από 48.286 σχολεία έχουν εγγραφεί στην δράση eTwinning και έχουν υλοποιήσει 11.994 σχέδια με τη συμμετοχή τουλάχιστον δύο σχολείων από δύο διαφορετικές χώρες. Η φετινή ετήσια διάσκεψη eTwinning πραγματοποιείται στην Πράγα από τις 13 έως τις 15 Φεβρουαρίου. Στην εκδήλωση αυτή θα συμμετάσχουν πάνω από 400 άτομα, μεταξύ των οποίων εκπαιδευτικοί από ολόκληρη την Ευρώπη, εκπρόσωποι των κεντρικών και των εθνικών υπηρεσιών υποστήριξης της δράσης eTwinning και άλλοι σημαντικοί φορείς από τον τομέα της σχολικής εκπαίδευσης. Η διάσκεψη θα επικεντρωθεί στο θέμα «Δημιουργικότητα και eTwinning» και ομιλητές είναι, μεταξύ άλλων, ο Ján Figel', Επίτροπος της ΕΕ για την εκπαίδευση, την κατάρτιση, τον πολιτισμό και τη νεολαία και ο Δρ. Edward de Bono, ειδικός της παράπλευρης εναλλακτικής σκέψης και πρέσβης του Ευρωπαϊκού Έτους Δημιουργικότητας και Καινοτομίας 2009. Την παραμονή της διάσκεψης, ο Επίτροπος Figel’ εξήγησε τη σημασία του eTwinning για το 2009: «Το 2009 είναι το Έτος Δημιουργικότητας και Καινοτομίας, οπότε είναι ιδιαίτερα επίκαιρο να εορτάζουμε την ολοένα αυξανόμενη επιτυχία του σχεδίου eTwinning ως ένα απτό παράδειγμα της δημιουργικότητας στην εκπαίδευση. Πρέπει να ενθαρρύνουμε καινοτομικές προσεγγίσεις στην εκπαίδευση με σκοπό την αναβάθμιση της ποιότητας και της αποτελεσματικότητας των σχολικών συστημάτων της Ευρώπης και τη στήριξη των νεαρών Ευρωπαίων ώστε να προετοιμαστούν για την κοινωνία και την οικονομία του μέλλοντος.» Η διάσκεψη θα κορυφωθεί με την τελετή απονομής, στη διάρκεια της οποίας θα βραβευτούν τα δέκα καλύτερα έργα eTwinning της σχολικής χρονιάς 2007-2008. Υπάρχουν πέντε κατηγορίες, τρεις ανάλογα με την ηλικία (4-11, 12-15, 16-19), μία ανάλογα με το θεματικό κλάδο (μαθηματικά και φυσικές επιστήμες), καθώς και μία ειδική κατηγορία με τη χορηγία της γαλλικής προεδρίας, για τη χρήση της γαλλικής γλώσσας. Βαθμολογήθηκαν περισσότερες από 500 συμμετοχές σχεδίων με κριτήριο την καινοτόμο φύση, την ενσωμάτωση στο πρόγραμμα διδασκαλίας, τη συνεργασία, τη δημιουργική χρήση των ΤΠΕ και τη δυνατότητα μεταφοράς. Οι δέκα πρώτοι επιτυχόντες προέρχονται από 40 σχολεία σε 21 χώρες (Βέλγιο, Βουλγαρία, Κύπρος, Τσεχική Δημοκρατία, Γαλλία, Ελλάδα, Ουγγαρία, Ισλανδία, Ιρλανδία, Ιταλία, Λετονία, Λιθουανία, Λουξεμβούργο, Μάλτα, Πολωνία, Πορτογαλία, Ρουμανία, Σλοβακία, Ισπανία, Σουηδία και Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο). Οι τέσσερις πρώτοι επιτυχόντες ανά κατηγορία κερδίζουν ένα ταξίδι στην κατασκήνωση eTwinning στην Ελλάδα τον Απρίλιο, ενώ οι νικητές της γαλλικής κατηγορίας θα βραβευθούν με υποτροφία για σπουδές στη Γαλλία φέτος το καλοκαίρι. The pupils from the two schools collaborate to produce films, which are used as a teaching tool when working with themes chosen from the syllabus. The media material is published and discussed by the pupils on the project blog. The jury said: Various ICT tools were included in the project in a purposeful way. The project fits in an international curriculum and could work as a model for various themes as well as for different school levels. The model of question- and comment-based project development as a basis for progressive inquiry showed the real pedagogical value of the project. The jury said: The panel thought that the basis of the project, an international theme, i.e, water, incorporated with an intercultural theme, i.e., fairytales, was innovative and appropriate. The partner choice is particularly appropriate since both partners can approach the subject with similar questions. The jury said: The project demonstrated a very creative an innovative approach to implementing its objectives. The work consisted of two parts: in the first part, they outlined the changing of people’s food habits and tastes for the last fifty years; in the second part, they developed their own pizzeria business plans in order to develop their business know-how. The jury said: This project obviously made a significant impact on the participants and the entire community. The pupils were involved in practical work and discussing the real implementation of a novel idea. It's a fresh approach that works well with this rather difficult age group. Partners communicated via email (all collected in the TwinSpace), video conferencing and tried and evaluated each other’s games. This eTwinning project has served as a basis for a Comenius partnership project for some of the partners.
