Food is the primary mediator between human beings, their societies and nature. At each step, production, sale and consumption, it is both a staple and a cultural product. Using a cultural and social geography perspective, which claims ties to sociology, anthropology, economy, politics, and communication, this course explores different methods for examining food as a subject of geographic study, by examining themes and historical transitions from an anglophone perspective. The course is based on academic texts, chosen or proposed by the students, on different subjects and related issues
